Ready to learn the 3 core principles that keep my clients and me sane.
Here's a summary (3 minute read):
So the three things that will change your life and that I can teach to you in three minutes are:
-
Whose business are you in?
- Your business
- Their business
- The Universe's business or God’s business (or whatever energy you think causes hurricanes and babies to be born)
I promise you, if you are suffering, you are in somebody else's business. This causes pain, so get out of it and figure out your own, okay?
You might be wondering: how do I figure out my own business Casey? Well, it's quite simple: you use Mindfulness.
2. Mindfulness
Mindfulness is coming into the present moment, not staying stuck in the past, not getting attached to the future but coming right here, right now, in this present moment.
3. Focus
So once you're in the mindful moment, you can get clear. Put your horse blinders on and get tunnel vision for what your business is and where you want to be going, what you want to be doing in life.
I use the analogy of life being like a smorgasbord and it's open 24 hours a day, seven days a week: so you never have to panic and you're never going to starve, you're never going to not have enough water or alcohol or chocolate or protein or whatever greens or whenever you need, so don't worry about overstuffing your plate.
And this is key: figure out what you can put on your life plate right now.
This leads to feelings of ease, joy, fun, adventure, freedom, and safety okay! And it requires really streamlining your life: coming into your chakras and being present with who you are and then picking three things you focus on during your week. You can change them. For example: during my work day I might have three goals and then in the evening usually I can't fit in three because I'm a single mom and choose to spend time with my kids co-creating and connecting, so I can usually fit in maybe one task along with dinner.
That's the other thing, you don't put things like brushing your teeth, doing the dishes, etc because these are already habits. If self care and household care is not a habit at this point, add it to your plate.
What's on our plate is the stuff that excites us, the activities that bring us joy and juice and keeps us alive. We want to focus on that energy and feel the fear and do it anyway.
So those are my three core principles:
- Whose business are you in?
- Mindfulness
- Focus
